COMMERCIAL PROJECT (COMPLETED 2009) Palencia, Belize - Citylab worked with Kevin & Robin Sproule to develop an initial design and guiding ethos for a vacation house in Palencia, Belize.
The program called for a house large enough to comfortably hold two small families. Views to the northwest and south were to be emphasized while the beach-front of the house was to be surrounded by deck.
We encouraged a simple, honest pallet of tile, plaster & local wood with large windows to capture sunlight & breezes throughout the day. Construction was overseen by a local architect.
