STUDIO PROJECT - Rethinking SALA (The School of Architecture & Landscape Architecture at UBC). A small shared gallery. The Gallery is a simple room with movable pinup boards allowing for a variety of uses (the boards can be folded up to the ceiling for presentations or small recitals).
The building is glazed with semi reflective glass to allow for a combination of reflectivity and transparency - a kind of dissolution of solidity and mass creating lightness and deference to its site.
